Creating your best self portrait using Sakura Cray-Pas oil pastels
Back in 1925, the folks at Sakura Colour Products in Osaka, Japan, came up with Cray-Pas oil pastels. They mixed together some top-notch pigments, wax, and oil to make them. Fast forward to today, and they’re still using those awesome ingredients to make the Cray-Pas oil pastels we know and love.

These pastels are perfect for anyone at any level – from kids just starting out, to high school and college students, all the way up to professional artists. Why? Because Cray-Pas has always been the go-to oil pastel. And there’s no arguing with that.
They’ve got a great range of colors, they’re super opaque, they pack a punch with their coloring power, and those unique Sakura pigments and smooth application are in a league of their own.
By the way, this is a self-portrait.
